Member Information
The Warrior Woman, Inc. is an charitable, non-profit organization comprised of
Tampa Bay artists who are dedicated to bringing teens and at-risk youth a means of artistic expression through empowering writing workshops.
We believe that exposure to Spoken Word, which is relevant and appealing to teens, will not only encourage them to learn more about poetry, but will provide them with a valuable tool for artistic self-expression and a safe environment to explore their creativity.
The "36 Schools" Campaign & "Slam In The Summer" Project
As artists, we know that everyone needs a form of creative expression. Music, Writing, Theater, and Visual Arts should not be a luxury reserved for a select few, which is why we've launched our "36 Schools" campaign and our "Slam In The Summer" Project.
For our "36 Schools" Campaign we will bring three dozen educational facilities (including schools, libraries, and teen outreach programs that focus on education) our empowering writing workshops. To be considered for "36 Schools" please fill download THIS FORM and send the requested information to
Adrienne@TheWarriorWoman.org
. Please contact us for more information.
The "Slam In The Summer" Project is a series of week-long summer programs for under-privileged teens. The purpose of this project is to keep teens engaged and
entertained during the summer (prime trouble months) at little or no cost to the students and their families.
Please support these projects and Tampa Bay Youth and donate now.
We have launched a new COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP CAMPAIGN to get local businesses, organizations, and individuals involved with the change we are creating in Tampa Bay. We're reaching out to the community, in search of tax-deductible donations.
Every contribution allows us to bring workshops--and the positive impact of poetry and a healthy emotional outlet--to teens. We also offer advertisement for our sponsors on our website, myspace page, and monthly newsletter, as well as other promotional opportunities for those that support our cause.
Download our SPONSORSHIP BROCHURE for more information.
We are also working with The Studio @ 620 to create a poetry-fundraiser, the likes of which you've never seen in Tampa Bay! We are planning the event for early March, stay tuned for updates on our big event!

Adrienne Nadeau (AKA: The Warrior Woman) was born with ink running through her veins and it is rumored that her first words were poetry. In June 2004 she went to her first spoken word show and hasn’t gotten off the stage since. She uses her creative talents to explore her religious background, speak about women's rights, and vent about her ex-boyfriends.
Now you can find her as a regular performed at diverse venues like Resurrection @ The Lobby and Lyrical Aspirations. Adrienne has been honored as a feature at several events, including Say What? A Spoken Word Event, Poetic Mayhem, Oktoberfest at USF, Black on Black Rhyme's All*Star Poetry Slam, Tampa Museum of Art's Art After Dark, Gulfport's Gecko Fest, WMNF's Poetry Iz and has won many slams and competitions including the Quilt Poetry Slam, University of Tampa’s Apollo Night and Bombshell Gallery’s Poetry Slam.
March 2008 brought "The Warrior Woman". With 23 tracks and over an hour of spoken word, this collection is the result of 3 years of growth as a poet and a performer.
