Sarah Dees is a an accomplished artist and entrepreneur with over twenty years of professional experience. Her art reflects beauty and happiness which enhances the quality of life.

Sarah skipped two grades in high school, beginning college at Eckerd College on the early admissions program at age 16 on a full academic scholarship. After two years, she moved to New York City, and transferred to one of the top three art universities in the United States, Parsons School of Design. She continued her education at Parsons on scholarship, graduating with a BFA in illustration in 1982.

Sarah founded her first business, a wholesale art manufacturing and sales company, Dees Design Graphics, in 1983. Her paintings and prints have been published nationally, and Sarah built a successful business in fine art and picture framing, specializing in working with interior designers on new buildings, renovations and the hospitality field. Completed projects include framed art and murals for hotels, timeshare resorts, galleries, condominiums, retail stores, health care, model homes, restaurants, corporate offices and residential commissions.

Sarah was successful in completing her commissions on time, on budget. Her crew installed Sarah’s framed originals and poster art, custom designed for resorts and homes.

Sarah taught visual arts and performing arts, sharing her talent and skill in each of these areas. Sarah has an affirmative and enthusiastic attitude, and a natural rapport with children, based on respect and positive reinforcement.

Sarah closed Dees Design Graphics in 2002, due to being badly injured when a truck hit her van from the rear on the interstate.

In January 2006, Sarah began her art career anew, with a home-based business, providing custom original paintings on canvas, paper, mural art and printmaking, as Sarah Dees Art.

Sarah recently overcame her life's most difficult challenge, surviving cancer. She was unable to work for almost a year during her treatment, but now is cancer free and rejoining the world again. Sarah looks forward to working again and living her life as an artist and a teacher.
