Fran Powers is the Founder of Powerstories Theatre of Tampa Bay, Inc. a theatrical production company providing opportunities for women and girls to perform their true stories on stage. The Theatre specializes in helping women and girls discover their personal stories and develop their ability to share them with live audiences. She has written and produced three autobiographical plays and is the author of Power Stories - Everyday Women Creating Extraordinary Lives. Her third show, “Bernadette’s Bravo!” is performing nationally and regularly receives rave reviews and standing ovations.

Fran is also the President of Fran Taylor Powers, Inc. a training and development company that specializes in helping individuals give highly engaging oral presentations. She regularly teaches a popular course titled “Tell Your Story to Funders”. Recently one student wrote “this was the best use of my time in the last 10 years”. Another wrote “All who are charged with speaking about their company should not miss the opportunity to learn from Fran Taylor Powers”. Additionally, Fran was the Director of Grant Services for the Conn Memorial Foundation, Executive Director for Alpha House of Tampa, President of the Board of The Healthy Start Coalition of Florida and Board member for The National Association of Women Business Owners. She has a Bachelors degree in Theatre from Fontbonne College in St. Louis, Missouri and a Masters degree in Education from the University of South Florida.
