Stefani Twyford is the President and Founder of Legacy
Multimedia, a Houston-based company dedicated to the
preservation of history through masterfully produced video
biographies on DVD. An insightful writer, imaginative visual
designer, and skillful film producer, she employs the latest
digital technology to capture unique life stories for a
discerning private and corporate clientele that appreciates
the lasting value of fine craftsmanship.
Prior to establishing Legacy Multimedia in 2003, Twyford was
president of Ariel Graphics, a successful web design,
e-commerce, and marketing firm. Earlier in her career, she
worked as a web designer for Entech and held a number of other
interesting jobs that ranged from social worker and custom
clothing designer to 'mediator' for Americans looking to buy
European antiques.
With degrees in both social work and psychology from the
University of Wyoming, and extensive training in fashion
design at the Pacific Design Institute, Twyford has over ten
years of professional experience in designing, developing, and
implementing award-winning digital media solutions for small
to medium-sized clients.
Her current work at Legacy Multimedia is the culmination of a
life-long dream inspired by her father, acclaimed New York
street photographer Martin Elkort, whose images celebrate the
joy of living and the strength of people who are committed to
having a great life. His influence was a guiding light during
Twyford’s early development as an artist and it remains
evident in the unique perspective she brings to the art of
storytelling.
Twyford is also creating a lasting legacy for digital media
professionals by presenting and sharing her expertise with
various related groups. She led Webgrrls-Houston from 1997 to
1999 and is a founding member and past Houston chapter
president of DigitalEve, a network dedicated to educating and
mentoring women in graphic design and Internet-based
technology. Additionally, she serves on the fundraising
committees of several local charitable organizations including
the Arthritis Foundation, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and
is an avid member of the Association of Personal Historians
and the International Special Events Society.
Her firm commitment to the arts, to the technology community,
and to women in business has helped many others and served as
inspiration for the next generation of talented professionals.
