Angela Denby, Founder & CEO, Java Social Networking

Angela was born into a family of entrepreneurs in mid-Michigan. Upon graduation from Fowlerville High School, she spent a couple semesters at Lansing Community College before transferring to Wayne State University where she acquired a BFA in Graphic Design. Immediately following graduation, Angela accepted a challenging position with a Michigan start-up company, BD Liquid Management. She focused efforts in business development and marketing and grew the company to record-breaking numbers each of the following four years. In 2005, Angela left Michigan to pursue new opportunities and experiences out west in Santa Monica, California. With a focus on marketing and business development, she accepted a position working with Pamela Burton & Company, an internationally renowned landscape architect. With a plethora of new acquaintances and valuable experiences she spent a few years soaking in the California sun before she decided to dive into big city corporate America. Angela spent a little more than a year as Marketing Director for a very well known staffing firm in New York City before she saw a void in outsourcing options for Social Networking in small businesses. Angela, along with a team of some of her most OSN-savvy acquaintances launched Java Social Networking to setup, strategize and maintain social networks for small to mid-sized businesses. Java Social Networking is a Michigan company, already thriving in its first year (2009) with offices in Michigan, California, New Jersey and New York.
