About the Doctor

Dr. Suzanne Yoder earned her Bachelor's degree from Thiel College 2000, her Master's Degree in Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh 2002, and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Pittsburgh 2004. She has lived in the Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities her entire life. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Audiology. This professional voluntary credentialing demonstrates a commitment to a quest for excellence through lifelong learning. Dr. Yoder strives to meet the highest standards in continuing education and in addition to board certification.

Experience has been earned through out years in a number of environments by working closely with ENT physicians, hospitals, schools, industrial programs and other private practices. Dr. Yoder can professionally evaluate, diagnose, and treat hearing and vestibular disorders.

Along with the doctoral level of education, Dr. Yoder has a strong sense of commitment to the hard of hearing and is very empathetic with those with hearing loss. She is motivated to educate the patient and the communities to understand hearing disorders and the best solutions for each individual.

Comprehensive hearing evaluations for adults and children (12 years and older).

Limited hearing evaluations for younger children (2-11 years old). 

Comprehensive hearing aid evaluations, fittings and verifications for adults and children.

Hearing aids and hearing aid related services such as

- instruction for use of hearing aids 
- education 
- counseling 
- repairs 
- warranty servicing 

Interactive demonstrations of devices including hearing aids and assistive devices. 

Rehabilitation activities such as 

- educational seminars
- computer assisted exercises
- advanced instruction
- coping mechanisms
- alternative communication skills (sign language, lip reading, etc). 

Home or off site visits upon reasonable request. 

Industrial site testing and conservation programs (for industrial workers). 

Materials and Literature to support educational and counseling issues. 

Report writing and physician communications. Includes physician education when needed. 

Third party billing (health insurance, hearing aid benefits, etc).
